A critical project for the Muslims of the region as this is the only source of revival and propagation of Islam.
Since Rahma began in 1999 we are now beginning to see vast improvements in people’s lives due to the re-introduction of Islam. The most important contribution we can make as individuals is helping people access the basic teachings of Islam.
Rahma (Mercy) currently has 126 Madrasahs throughout Albania and Kosovo under its Madrasah project. We along with the Al Imdaad Foundation, sponsor these Madrasahs in order to revive the Islamic identity of the Albanian people whom have suffered severely under the iron fist of communism.
Albania suffered under the most extreme form of communism for approximately 40 years and was the first country in the world to declare itself as an atheist state. Currently under the rule of democracy the Albanian people have the chance to once again learn about Islam and consequently become social assets to their local communities and better citizens of their country.
It is Rahma’s vision that there does not remain a single village, town or city in which there is not a Madrassah as there is still much work to be done in this area.
This is a nominal price to pay to give a needy child the gift of knowledge that will remain with them throughout their whole life. The children are eligible for Zakaat so please continue to support this amazing work.

By the grace of the Almighty we have had 9 students become huffaaz, the most recent one in December 2016.
In September 2016 Rahma (Mercy) opened its first ever boarding facility. This was a real incorporation of our pioneer projects. The students
